Job Overview:
The Taxation Officer at Umar Pharmacy Chain will oversee all tax-related functions, including withholding tax management, sales tax compliance and POS tax administration. This role is critical to ensure full compliance with tax laws, accurate tax filings and proper record-keeping. Strong organizational skills and familiarity with ERP systems are essential for efficient tax processing and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in tax management or a similar role, preferably within retail or a pharmacy chain.
  • Withholding Tax Management: Proficient in handling and reporting withholding tax, ensure timely deductions and deposits.
  • Sales Tax Compliance: Knowledgeable in sales tax regulations, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance across all transactions.
  • POS Tax Administration: Experience in managing POS tax settings, ensure accurate tax application on sales and troubleshooting any tax-related POS issues.
  • Advance Income Tax Management: Skilled in calculating, reporting and managing advance income tax payments.
  • Income Tax Filing and Compliance: Ability to prepare and file income tax returns, ensure full compliance with tax laws and timely submission.
  • ERP System Proficiency: Comfortable working with ERP systems for tax calculations, record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in tax reporting, documentation, and filings.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Up-to-date understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address tax-related issues effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work with internal teams and communicate tax information clearly.
